Na Wu
Professional Profile
Dr. Wu Na is a piano educator and Associate Professor of Piano at a university in China. She has been engaged in piano education for nearly 20 years and teaches in English, Russian, and Chinese. Her teaching combines a strong academic foundation with practical, student-centered guidance in technique, tone production, and musical expression.
Dr. Wu graduated from the Piano Department of the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory in Russia, where she completed doctoral studies in both Piano Performance and Collaborative Piano / Artistic Coaching. She earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree.
Her research focuses on piano pedagogy and piano theory. She has published a Russian-language monograph, The Integration of Chinese Traditional National Music and Modern Western Music: An Analysis of Ding Shande’s Piano Works, as well as more than ten academic papers.
Jury Experience
Dr. Wu has served as a jury member for various piano competitions on numerous occasions, including the piano division of the China–Singapore International Music Competition held in Singapore.
Teaching Specialization
In piano teaching, Dr. Wu specializes in helping students develop proper finger support and agility, achieve a healthy balance between relaxation and control in the wrists and arms, and refine tone control with smooth, singing musical phrasing. While addressing each student’s technical challenges, she also guides students to understand and express musical content accurately, naturally, and effectively.

3rd International Rachmaninoff Music Festival Competition: Outstanding Accompanist Award, 2005, Saint Petersburg, Russia.

International Youth Piano Competition: Second Prize in the Two-Piano Category and a special award from the organizers, 2007, Saint Petersburg, Russia.
